Home renovation
Renovating a home
A home from shell to handover, with one party guarding the design and organising the whole process.

In a complete renovation almost everything changes: the layout, the services, the kitchen, the bathroom, the floors and the finishes. That calls for a plan in which design and execution are aligned from the start. We make that plan, develop it technically and guide the build with our fixed team.
Layout first, finishes second
Most of the gain in a renovation is in the floor plan, not the finish. So we begin with layout options and test them against daylight, circulation, storage and structure. Only once that choice is settled do we move on to materials.
Respect for what is already there
In a house with character the existing architecture is the starting point. Brickwork, a stairwell or an original façade rhythm are kept and carried through into the new part, so an extension reads as a continuation of the house rather than as a foreign element.

VisualisationFrequently asked
- How long does a complete renovation take?
- That depends on the scope and whether a permit is required. The design and preparation phase usually takes longer than people expect, and the build less long than feared. During the introduction we give a realistic indication for your situation rather than a standard answer.
- Can I stay in the house?
- In a complete renovation where services and floors are replaced this is usually not practical. We discuss it early, because it affects both the planning and the budget.
